Where can I pick up a paper?
Check out our distribution map and find a rack near you.
How often and when does the paper come out?
We are monthly and distribute new editions around the first of each month. The bulk of our papers are delivered via the US Postal Service, so the delivery date may vary, depending on zip code and carrier route. It's rare for an issue to not be fully distributed by the 5th of the month.
May I speak to the editor?
Our editor, Dale Messmer, works off-site and is usually out in the field. The best way to reach Dale is through e-mail:

Where will my ad be placed? Can I get page X or right-hand read?
We move ads around each month to give all advertisers fair exposure from the back to the front. We do offer some premium locations in the paper for an additional 30% monthly. Contact your representative for more information on availability.
Keep in mind that the Arcadia News is a monthly publication. We frequently hear from our readers that they read the paper “cover to cover.” In a daily publication, readers are more prone to “thumbing through” and as such, placement may have a bigger impact. In a monthly paper, the quality and attraction of the ad is more important than the placement of it.
Will you do a story about my business?
The Arcadia News does not print “advertorial” or promotional editorial. We keep advertising and editorial separate, and strive to provide relevant community and neighborhood news without compromising our integrity. You are welcome to submit story ideas to our editor, who will consider all submissions for newsworthiness. You can reach the editor via email at

Can I send you an idea for a story or a calendar listing?
You bet! Some of our best stories come from our readers and neighbors. However, we receive hundreds of submissions every month, and many are not used due to space limitations. It is not necessary to contact us to make sure we have received your submission. Send your story idea or calendar listing to our editor via email at

How can I pay for my ad?
We accept checks, cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We have a secure order form online that you can use to submit credit card information to us. Fill out the billing information and put a note in the comment section so we know what the payment is for. The rest of the form can be left blank.
I can’t make it by when you are open – how do I get you something?
Feel free to drop it in our locked mailbox, which is located right next to our entrance, at 3850 East Indian School Road, on the east side of the building.
