Arcadia’s Maria Serrato and the Arizona Killer Bees won the 12u USSSA State Softball Championship.
Serrato, a student at Ingleside Middle School, and the Bees won the fast-pitch state title at Field of Dreams Park in Gilbert. The team also finished second in a New Mexico tournament earlier in the summer, winning 12 of 14 games.
The Bees are coached by Harry Archibeque.
